Stop me if you’ve heard this one…
You’re ready! Intentions set, the path to your best self is crystal clear…
But then the party starts.
The *unexpected* soirée I’ll call Curveballs…
Work calls, kids call, you’re tangled in a night of restless sleep.
Oops, that perfectly planned life is now a distant dream.
And that back pain’s been around so long, you’re about to welcome it to the family.
You’re stuck, overwhelmed, and you did NOT RSVP for this.
That’s where I come in with a fan to whisk all that away. Think hair blowing in the wind like Beyonce.
I understand these detours well; I’ve walked the winding paths too.
I’m Ashley, lover of all things ease.
My search for balance began in earnest at age 21 - veganism, juice fasts, you get the idea.
Nothing worked until I found Ayurveda (more on that below).
Working with an Ayurvedic yoga therapist and Ayurvedic doctor, my life finally, truly changed. No more being crippled by
🚫 anxiety & depression
🚫 gut issues
🚫 shoulders tensed sky high
🚫 brain fog & endless exhaustion
🚫 hopelessness
I’m grateful to report that my memory of that former self sometimes feels unrecognizable.
Because of the deep impact Ayurveda had on me, it’s an honor to share this system’s massage with you.
I left the bustle of corporate life, followed an intuition to Portland to study massage at East West College.
And I founded Moonwise because I saw a big gap in the massage world.
I take a different approach than other massage therapists:
(Talk nerdy with me for a minute) I practice an authentic, traditional style originating from southern India — a gem passed down through generations.
It has a lot in common with “regular” massage but some distinctions make all the difference — and all the luxurious.
It’s holistic, simultaneously healing body, mind, and beyond — at the *root*, for results lasting long after you leave the massage table.
Maybe you’re in a similar place as I was before. The beauty of your story is it will continue to evolve.
Whether you’re seeking relief from physical, emotional, or spiritual pain, remember: it doesn’t have to be this way.
Whenever you’re ready, I’m here to help.
Let's get the healing started.
xx,
Ashley
